Chemistry Department

The Department of Chemistry was founded in the year 1948. Chemistry was taught as an elective subject in science course till 2014. In 2014, the University of Calcutta extended affiliation to teach the Honours course in Chemistry. The first batch of students in the Honours course had been admitted in 2015.

  • Paramita Jana who passed out in 2018 qualified GATE in 2020 and now pursuing PhD in IIT, Bhubaneshwar.
  • Antara Ghosh who passed out in 2018 qualified NET in 2022 and now pursuing PhD in IIT, Dhanbad.
  • Anushree Das who passed out in 2018 now doing job as a project fellow in TCG Life Sciences Private Limited.
  • Kasturi Kanrar who passed out in 2018 qualified GATE in 2020
  • Gargi Ghosh who passed out in 2018 qualified GATE in 2020
  • Anupriya Ghosh who passed out in 2018 qualified GATE in 2020 and NET in
  • Shubhashri Parua who passed out in 2019 qualified GATE in 2022 now doing PhD in Bose Institute

  • Soumili Ghosh who passed out in 2019 qualified GATE and ranked in NET Exam in 2021 and now pursuing PhD in Cultivation of Science.
  • Nilanjana Mitra who passed out in 2019 qualified GATE in 2022 and gold medallist in M.Sc from Punjab Central University.
